In this engaging session, educators will explore innovative strategies to enhance work-based learning (WBL) opportunities for students with special needs. Participants will learn how the K-12 work-based learning opportunities for students with Special Needs has catapulted the Central DeWitt School District to receive recognition as a National Unified Champion School in 3 of its 4 buildings. Participants will discuss the importance of inclusive practices that empower all students to thrive in real-world work environments. Learn how work-based learning practices can not only build skills, but break down social barriers and change the culture of a school building.
