ACTE's National Work-Based Learning Conference

Thompson School District in Loveland, CO has developed multiple internal work-based learning programs that provide students with opportunities to explore careers and build skills while allowing various departments to "grow their own" talent pipeline. This session will highlight the highly successful internship and registered apprenticeship programs within TSD's Innovative Technology Services, with a focus on engaging a diverse talent pool, developing a custom training program, addressing the ethics of data privacy and network security, and building of a pipeline at the middle school level to support a high school work-based learning program.
